Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

The Quiet Paris Guide aims to make its website and experiences as welcoming and accessible as reasonably possible.

We are committed to providing clear information about the physical conditions of our experiences so that each guest can decide whether a particular activity is suitable for them.

Accessibility may vary depending on the experience, the route, the weather, the partner establishments and the facilities available at each location.

2. Website accessibility

The website is built with Squarespace.

We have taken steps to support a clear and comfortable browsing experience, including:

  • a clear page structure;

  • readable text and colour combinations;

  • descriptive headings and links;

  • keyboard navigation testing;

  • responsive layouts for different screen sizes;

  • a cookie preferences system.

We are continuing to review image alternative text and the accessibility of visual content.

Some third-party content, including Instagram and Pinterest embeds, may not be fully accessible to all users. These elements may also remain unavailable when non-essential cookies have not been accepted.

We do not currently claim that the website fully conforms to any specific accessibility standard.

3. Accessibility of our experiences

Our experiences are walking-based and generally last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Routes may include:

  • pavements and uneven surfaces;

  • cobblestones;

  • narrow streets or pavements;

  • standing and walking between stops;

  • steps or stairs at some locations;

  • partner establishments with limited accessibility.

Accessibility is therefore partial and experience-specific. We cannot currently guarantee that every route or every partner establishment is fully accessible to wheelchair users or guests using a mobility aid.

4. Pace and breaks

We may be able to adapt the pace of an experience and include additional breaks, depending on the route and the group.

Guests with specific mobility requirements should contact us before booking so that we can explain the conditions of the relevant experience as accurately as possible.

5. Dietary requirements

Vegetarian options and most dietary restrictions may be accommodated with advance notice.

Guests must provide information about allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements at the time of booking.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate this information to partner establishments. However, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens or cross-contamination.

6. Hearing and visual needs

Where reasonably possible, we may adapt the experience by:

  • speaking more slowly;

  • facing the guest while speaking;

  • repeating or clarifying information;

  • providing key information in writing;

  • describing places, objects and foods in greater detail.

These adaptations depend on the route, group size and circumstances of the experience.

7. Before booking

The accessibility of an experience depends on the route and the establishments visited.

Guests should review the practical information on the relevant experience page before booking, including:

  • duration;

  • walking requirements;

  • surfaces and stairs;

  • meeting point;

  • toilets;

  • seating opportunities;

  • dietary information;

  • weather conditions.

We encourage guests with specific accessibility requirements to contact us before booking.

We will provide the information currently available to us, but we cannot guarantee that every request can be accommodated.

8. Feedback and accessibility barriers

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website or during one of our experiences, please contact us at:

hello@thequietparisguide.com

Where possible, please include:

  • the relevant page or experience;

  • a description of the difficulty;

  • the device or browser used, if the issue concerns the website;

  • any suggestion that might help us improve.

We will review the issue and consider reasonable improvements.

9. Changes to this statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement when:

  • the website changes;

  • new booking or embedded content is added;

  • an experience route changes;

  • partner establishments change;

  • new accessibility information becomes available.

The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
